Technical Assistance
The National Resource Center on Charter School Finance and Governance (NRC) offers an array of technical assistance resources to help state policymakers, charter school authorizers, and charter school operators build capacity for effective charter school finance and governance.
Examples of Recent Technical Assistance Events Include:
- Fiscal Health Assessment, a workshop for Georgia Charter School Association members on April 29, 2009, in Atlanta, Georgia
- Fiscal Management Training for Get Smart Schools, a 2-day on-site training on financial management for Get Smart Schools, a non-profit that works with the charter school community, on April 23-24, 2009, in Denver, Colorado
- Making the Most of Federal Funding: An Introduction to the NRC's Federal Funding Guide and Online Catalog, presented to the Baltimore Schools of Choice members on April 1, 2009
- Strategies for Financing Charter Schools, two half-day workshops for attendees at the Minnesota Department of Education's Federal Charter Schools Program, All-Grantee meeting on March 12-13, 2009

- Mapping the Landscape of Charter Management Organizations, a half-day interactive workshop organized by the Donnell-Kay Foundation, a Denver-based foundation that supports the establishment of high quality charter schools, on September 17, 2009, in Denver, Colorado
